Lucius Annaeus Seneca (1 BC-65 AD) Often known simply as Seneca. A Roman philosopher, statesman, dramatist, and humorist, of the Silver Age of Latin literature. He was tutor & later adviser to emperor Nero. He was later forced to commit suicide for complicity in the Pisonian conspiracy to assassinate this last of the Julio-Claudian emperors; however, he may have been innocent. Source | More
