Thought of the Day…
As I was searching for todays quote, this one hit home with me. They say money is the root of all evil, judging by the actions of our greedy corporations and politicians I would say that is a correct statement. As I continue to learn to live a simple life, a life that is not dictated by how much money I have, I notice that few have an interest in who I am and what I say, even though I at times have say plenty.
Mark Twain said, “I am opposed to millionaires, but it would be dangerous to offer me the position.” I fall into that category myself. Money in my hands makes me a slippery fool. I either blow it on something frivolous that I have no need for, or I give it away.
As most of us struggle every day to survive and to pay our way through this life, greedy corporations send lobbyist to Washington to peddle our politicians and convince them what laws to write, and pass, so that they can bathe in their obscene profits. While I am not opposed to profits as a general rule, I find it rather disgusting to know that some have so much, and lust for more, while many others have so little and find themselves at the mercy of the greedy.
I feel like this is more of a rant than a thought, I would love to know what you think.
