Gone Fishing

Quote for the Day
“The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit
of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.”

~John Buchan~

Thought for the Day
Today is my 48th birthday. Happy birthday to me! I am spending the day on my favorite trout stream. I am reminded of something my father used to say, “I go trout fishing not to catch fish, I go to see what is around the next bend.”

Whether I come back with a full or empty creel matters not. I will enjoy the time spent on a wilderness stream, I will bathe in all the wonders of nature, munch on dried blueberries, and have not a care in the world.
