Interestingly, the other day was my birthday (September 17th) and you didn’t publish a “Thought for Today”. Just an anomaly? I found it to be mysterious – as of course I looking forward to your selection on my big day! Thanks for all you do, Glenn.

    • Good gosh, you are right Glenn. I apologize for the oversight. In eight years I don’t recall ever missing a day. I remember when scheduling Thursday’s thought that my connection was not what it should be. We’ll blame it on the satellite! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. We appreciate your reading Thought for the Day and Happy Birthday!

  3. Your site is the way I start my work day everyday. I’ve recently moved to a country where english is not the first language which keeps me on my toes. However I’m lucky enough to enjoy my job and your quotes help me find new ways of appreciating it, life and the daily challenges that make life interesting.

  10. I have subscribed to your site for about three years now and I just want to say how much I enjoy it. They’re very positive affirmations and logic to think about when starting your morning and going about your day. Keep up the good work!

  11. Could I suggest the following as a quote

“I don’t see the point in measuring
Life in terms of time anymore
I’d rather measure life in terms
    Of making a difference.”

    ~ Stephen Sutton

The 19-year-old, from Burntwood in Staffordshire, raised more than £3.2m ($5.36m) for charity after news of his plight spread on social media.
In a post announcing Stephen’s death on 14 May 2014, Jane Sutton said he was a “courageous, selfless, inspirational son”.
Stephen was diagnosed with terminal cancer aged 15.
Rather than dwell on his misfortune, the teenager drew up a “bucket list” of things he wanted to achieve before he died.
This led to him completing a skydive and playing drums in front of 90,000 people before the Uefa Champions League final at Wembley last May, among various achievements.

  12. Hello sir,

If i want to write my own thought here for posted if you really like thought written by me then what i have to do.

  13. Hi, I’m very interested in how you send these quotes.
Do you manually send them out each day to all of us subscribers?
That is a lot of work! Or perhaps you have an automated system that you might be kind enough to share as I’d like to do the same one day.
Cheers and thanks for your efforts,

  14. I am subscribe but quit receiving them about a week ago. I am now having to go to the website every morning. Tried to click on contact but it takes you no where.

  16. Hi there,
I send across “Thought of the day” to my entire team in an email form on a daily basis and it has now become a part of my daily tasks at the office. It was an embarassment that I wasn’t able to send it today as i don’t see one on your website. It’s difficult to explain the same things to multiple people again & again about my not sending it to them. Any reason you would like to put forward?

    • Hello, My apologies for the delay in delivering today’s thought. Sometimes there are circumstances beyond our control. We rarely miss but occasionally it does happen. Today’s thought is now live on the website and will be included with tomorrows delivery.

  17. Just stumbled across your site. It makes exciting and interesting reading. We are attempting to live a similar lifestyle, on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. I gave up my work as a health professional and retrained to become a weaver. Now I listen to the song of the loom and not the grumbles of patients! I am also the keeper of a variety of livestock. Life is so full now. How did I ever get time to work!

    • Hi Reginald, Thanks for stopping by and sharing your story. More and more people are learning that that a simple and modest lifestyle is much better that the hurried, greedy gotta have it all lifestyle. Lily Tomlin said, “Even if you win the rat race you are still a rat.”

Best of luck in your endeavors.
