Thought for Today

…the story of a man who saw
three fellows laying bricks at a new building:

He approached the first and asked,
“What are you doing?”
Clearly irritated, the first man responded,
“What the heck do you think I’m doing?
I’m laying these darn bricks!”

He then walked over to the second bricklayer
and asked the same question.
The second fellow responded,
“Oh, I’m making a living.”

He approached the third bricklayer
with the same question,
The third looked up, smiled and said,
“I’m building a cathedral.”

At the end of the day, who feels better
about how he’s spent his last eight hours?

Thought for Today
Follow your bliss.
If you do follow your bliss, you put yourself on a kind of track
that has been there all the while waiting for you,
and the life you ought to be living is the one you are living.
When you can see that, you begin to meet people
who are in the field of your bliss,
and they open the doors to you.
I say, follow your bliss and don’t be afraid…
and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.
If you follow your bliss,
doors will open for you that wouldn’t
have opened for anyone else.

Thought for Today
“And remember, also,” added the Princess of Sweet Rhyme,
“that many places you would like to see are just off the map
and many things you want to know are just out of sight
or a little beyond your reach. But someday you’ll reach them all,
for what you learn today, for no reason at all,
will help you discover all the wonderful secrets of tomorrow.”
