“The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit
of what is elusive but attainable,
a perpetual series of occasions for hope.”

Two Wolves – A Cherokee Parable
“An old Cherokee chief was teaching his grandson about life…
‘A fight is going on inside me,’ he said to the boy.
‘It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.
One is evil – he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies,
false pride, superiority, self-doubt, and ego.
The other is good – he is joy, peace, love, hope,
serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy,
generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.
This same fight is going on inside you
and inside every other person, too.’
The grandson thought about it for a minute
and then asked his grandfather,
‘Which wolf will win?’
The old chief simply replied,
‘The one you feed.”
Thought for Today
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is the highest form of self-respect
to admit our errors and mistakes
and make amends for them.
To make a mistake
is only an error in judgment,
but to adhere to it when it is discovered
shows infirmity of character.
Thought for Today
“I am only one; but still I am one.
I cannot do everything, but still I can do something;
I will not refuse to do something I can do.”
“I believe it is an established maxim in morals
that he who makes an assertion
without knowing whether it is true or false
is guilty of falsehood, and the accidental truth
of the assertion does not justify or excuse him.”
is not as important as what you become
by achieving your goals.”
